One of our fun activities in August (there were many!) was a trip down to Galveston to go to the beach! It was hot and muggy (Elisabeth was already sunburned from her trip down the River the day before), but, it was still super fun to watch the girls enjoy the sand and the waves! And actually, the water was surprisingly cool-ish (still brown, but cooler than usual!) We even saw some dolphins swimming pretty close by! After a picnic and snow cones, we all agreed it had been a wonderful beach day!
